Welcome! Thanks for taking the time to learn a little bit more about me.
If you’re anything like me, you want to know more about who you’re working with or taking advice from. So here it is, a little bit about what influenced, developed, and created the passionate resume writer and career coach you have today!
Growing up, I always wanted to be a lawyer, but things didn’t work out that way. I remember sharing that goal with people close to me and it being shot down (many of my clients went through the same thing!). Looking back, I can thank my parents for helping me avoid what could’ve been a costly lesson (more about that later!).

I was blessed with the opportunity to manage people. I interviewed, recruited, hired, and mentored employees ranging from entry-level to seasoned workers in each role.
I kept meeting unhappy, unfulfilled, and depressed employees. I naturally took the time to encourage, motivate, and inspire my employees and coworkers to go after the positions that they wanted. The exciting part is, it was working and they thanked me years later!

I realized the real reason I wanted to be a lawyer is because I’ve always been passionate about advocacy. I believe in the importance of advocating for:
So that’s why I created Seasoned and Growing! I strongly believe that everyone is “seasoned” in something and always “growing.”
So, who am I outside of my business:
A wife to my best friend, a daughter, sister, friend, and fur-mama to our 110-pound German Shepherd (more to come!)
I love traveling! You can often find me in a new city, touring museums, landmarks, wine tours, and of course trying the hottest food joints!
I love learning. You’ll often find me in a classroom (in-person/online), attending webinars, conferences and programs to stay up-to-date on the latest career trends!
So, in 500 words, there’s your glimpse into who Chelsea Jay is.
